I’ve seen some other blogs on electric fireplaces and gas fireplaces, and some of them mention inserts. Inserts are great if you want to use your existing fireplace space but don’t want to use real wood anymore. They’re relatively simple to put in place, especially if you’re willing to read the directions. It’s a matter of deciding between gas and electric (the two most popular models).
